Scenic York County Photos
York County has wonderful weather. This is a typical sunset I enjoyed from my front porch. Our climate is perfect for the outdoors person --- hunting, fishing, golfing year round, hiking, biking, kayaking, gardening!
And , yes, we can get snow. This is our first and only snow fall this year, approximately one inch, which my German Shepherd Kayla and I enjoyed walking through in our fields by the creek. ( I am sorry to report that Miss Kayla has passed on into heaven on June 28, 2008 and will be missed dearly by so many family members, friends and people whose lives she walked into and won over with her personality, intelligence and beauty.)
Wild flowers are profuse in York County. We also are a 20 minute drive from the famous Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. We have a variety of parks - national, military, state, and local - to enjoy every season and every activity. Plenty of museums, clubs, and arena-type events for the indoors person.
York County abounds in beautiful lush pasture lands for cattle and horses. While touring York County via bicycle, car, or motorcycle - farms provide verdant scenery throughout. Yet there is quality city life with shopping, the arts, theatre, sports -which are quick and easy to get to, with York providing you the best of both worlds.
Atop one of the pinnacles looking over York County. Our area provides hiking, biking, rock climbing, nature watching, picnic pavillions, along with peace and solitude. There is something for everyone in York County!
